God saw that you were tired and a cure was not to be. So He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me”. Although we loved you dearly, we would not make you stay. We know God loves you greatly, and you’re home with Him today.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Carolina Chiappetta Chauvin passed away on April 10, 2024. She was married to her beloved husband, the late Rene Paul Chauvin, Jr. and was blessed with great love for her family and friends. She is survived by her three sons and one daughter-in-law, Robert Glenn, Daryl Joseph (Cathy) and Brent Rene. She leaves behind ten grandchildren Timothy (Jennifer), Jason (Ashley), Valerie, Megan (Nancy), Tyler (Amanda) and Rae, and eleven great grandchildren, Christopher, Connor, Braxton, Anthony, Amelia, Finn, Josie, Jeremiah, Adeline, Nora and Kleet. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann Vallot Jurisich, her brother Guy Chiappetta, her sister-in-law Nell Chiappetta and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Amelia Chiappetta and her father-inlaw and mother – in -law, Rene, Sr. and Ella (Buras) Chauvin of Boothville, LA. Additionally preceded in death by four sisters, Louise Ballay, Catherine Chauvin, Amelia (Mamie) Tullier, Frances Cosse, one brother, Joseph Chiappetta,and one grandchild, Christopher Robin Chauvin. She was a graduate of Moler Beauty College, Soule Business College and Jeanne’s School of Flower Design. Mrs. Chauvin was 94 years old and a resident of Plaquemines Parish until 2007 when she relocated to New Roads, LA following a brief stay in Belle Chasse after Hurricane Katrina. Until that time, she was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Port Sulphur, LA where she volunteered as a choir member and a collection accountant for 8 years. Mrs. Chauvin was also a member of the Plaquemines Parish Fair and Orange Festival, The Leukemia Society and the Port Sulphur Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Council 8703. With her loving sister Catherine, Carolina managed the family businesses, Chauvin Brothers Tractor Company and Chauvin Brothers Citrus Grove for over forty years in which they worked together with their husbands Rene and Louis Chauvin who founded the businesses. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff of Pointe Coupee HealthCare (Plantation Management Company, LLC), in New Roads, LA for the excellent care they provided for their mother over the past three months. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Belle Chasse, LA.
