Amie LeBlanc Landry, age 93, entered heaven with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at LaCour House Assisted Living Facility in New Roads, LA with loving family at her side after a long battle with Dementia. She was a devoted wife to high school sweetheart, Edmond Landry, Jr., with over 69 years of marriage. She was class Valedictorian at Rougon High School, attended Business College and worked for the Louisiana Geological Survey at LSU. Children include Jeanne LeJeune (Mickey), Donna Duplechin (Kenneth) and Jerry Landry (Susan). Grandchildren, Michelle Courville, Corey LeJeune, Lauren Fisher (Mike), Lane Duplechin (Melissa), Kristen Root (Austin), Sean Landry. Great grandchildren, Kolin James, Sarah Maria, Ella Rose, Brooks Daniel, Carter Lane, Ayden Thomas, Hunter Michael and Rosie Francis. She was preceded in death by parents Anna and Andrew LeBlanc, Sr.; husband, Edmond J. Landry, Jr; brothers, Andrew LeBlanc Jr., Lester LeBlanc; sisters, Delta LeBlanc McClanahan, Nelda LeBlanc Viger; infant daughter Michelle Landry, and grandson Micheal Leonardt. Amie enjoyed volunteering at her children’s schools and Church and she was a longtime member of the K of C Ladies Auxiliary. She was especially fond of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who provided great joy in her life and she always greeted them with a big hug and loving kiss. She was an excellent seamstress and could sew anything along with her other talents of Cajun cooking, crocheting, canning, gardening and various arts and crafts. Amie is blessed to come back to Immaculate Conception Church where she nurtured her deep Catholic faith, where she was married, and now laid to rest. Our appreciation goes out to LaCour House Assisted Living Facility who lovingly cared for her and provided non stop attention at her bedside in her final hours. Services are on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland, LA. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation in the church hall at 9:00 a.m. with mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Immaculate Conception cemetery directly behind the church. The K of C #8878 will provide pastalaya at the church hall immediately following burial. Arrangements are being handled by Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads, LA. Pallbearers are grandsons Corey LeJeune, Lane Duplechin and Sean Landry; great grandsons, Kolin Courville and Ayden Leonardt; and Austin Root. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pointe Coupee Hospice or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lakeland, LA.
