Our beautiful mother Jackie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 14, 2023. Jackie was born and raised in the lower 9th ward in New Orleans, La. on November 2, 1945 to the late Charles Pichon Sr. and Eunice Anderson Pichon. Jackie married the late Roosevelt Pearson Sr. Jackie was a member of the Little Rock B.C. where she served faithfully until her illness became serious. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, family, strangers and the Lord. Jackie loved being in the presence of children. She provided childcare services over 40 years. Everyone called her Maw-Maw. Jackie was the matriarch of the Pichon family and everyone respected her. Our Mom is proceded in death by her awesome husband Roosevelt Pearson Sr.; her only sister Joan “Tula” Adams; brothers Forist Embry Sr., Freddie Embry Sr., Charles Pichon III, Robert Pichon Sr. and Wellington Pichon. Jackie is survived by her children Roosevelt Pearson Jr., Troy (Troylette) Pichon Sr. and Dana Pichon; brothers Ulyss (Victoria) Pichon and Chester Pichon; four grandchildren, Troy Pichon Jr., Troyana Pichon, Roosevelt Pearson III, and Morgan Duplechan; God children Vanessa Ralph, Tonita North, Antonio Camel, Jaliah Howard and Ciara Lea; special friends Betty Ruth McGuffie, Alice Rose, Ricard and Anna Moore; a nephew she loved dearly Jovoné Young; sister-in-laws Willie Ann Bullock, Ella Young, Lola Young, Betty Young, Rhonda Pichon, Racheal Pichon and Joy Pichon. Jackie held a special place in her heart for Demetris Dupard, Gerrod Franklin, Kiah Ford, Dylan Davis, Christina Oliver and James Hunter Jr. Auntie to many nieces and nephews will be missed by relatives and friends. A visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at The Little Rock B.C. of Morganza, La. There will be a second viewing on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Verrette’s Funeral Home, New Roads, La. from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Little Rock B.C. of Morganza, La. Pallbearers will be: Troy Pichon Jr., Joshawn Pearson, Brandon Smith, Dylan Davis, Roosevelt Pearson III, Jovone Young, and Marquise Young.
