WATER WORKS DISTRICT NO. 2
January 12, 2026
5:00 p.m.

The Pointe Coupee Parish Water Works District No. 2 board met in regular session at 5:00 p.m. on January 12, 2026, at the Courthouse Annex in the Parish Council Meeting Room, New Roads, Louisiana.
A roll call of the members was as follows:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Messrs. Van Debetaz, Marvin Losavio, and Kelly Rivet.

MEMBERS ABSENT: Messrs. Mark Major and Ronald Pourciau.
COUNCIL MEMBERS/OTHERS: Messrs. Edward Merrick, Rickie Montelaro, Kevin Gravois,
Attorney Michael Parks and Mrs. Mellisa Smith.

Public Comments
There were no public comments.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was offered by Mr. Van Debetaz and seconded by Mr. Kelly Rivet that the minutes of December 8, 2025 regular meetings be accepted as written and published.

Unanimously carried.

Consider Amendments to the Agenda
There were no amendments to the agenda.

Collection and Billing Report
There was no report.

Engineer’s Report
Kevin Gravois of PEC reported all current projects are proceeding as scheduled.
Maintenance Report
Rickie Montelaro, with M & C Water Company, reported approximately 1,771 meters were read, 17 customers were disconnected, six work orders were completed and they had five hours of locates. He also reported that lights were installed at Highway 1, Batchelor and Formosa well sites.

Review of Financial Statements
CPA Edward Merrick of Merrick and Hogan advised that he will present the report at next month’s meeting.

Approval of Invoices
Invoices were issued for the board’s approval and after reviewing the invoices, the following motion was offered.

A motion was offered by Van Debetaz and seconded by Kelly Rivet that the invoices submitted by Merrick and Hogan, CPAs, be approved for payment.

Unanimously carried.

Open Discussion
Attorney Mike Parks advised the Fire Hydrant Repair/Replacement Policy was accepted by the Pointe Coupee Fire Districts.

Adjournment
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was offered by Mark Major and seconded by Kelly Rivet.

Unanimously carried.
