By virtue of and to satisfy a Writ of Seizure and Sale issued in the above numbered and entitled suit, directed to me by the Honorable 18th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Pointe Coupee, State of Louisiana, the undersigned Sheriff has seized and will offer for sale at public auction in the Sheriff’s Office, located near the front door of the courthouse in New Roads, in the Parish of Pointe Coupee, on Wednesday the 25th of March, 2026 beginning at 10:00 A M, the following Described Property, to wit:

The undivided one half (½) interest owned by the Succession of Jules Bernard Labatut II in the following property, to wit:

Store Building parcel:

A certain lot or parcel of ground, together with all the buildings and improvements thereon, situated in the City of New Roads, Parish of Pointe Coupee, State of Louisiana, which lot or parcel of ground has a front of one hundred and fifty (150) feet, more or less, on the southern boundary line of the Paved New Roads-Morganza state Highway No. 1 (Formerly State Highway No. 30), which is also known as Parent Street, and a depth of one hundred seventy(170) feet, more or less, running in a southerly direction. Bounded north by Parent Street, south by the lot described as “2” below, east by Poydras Street, and west by Glynn Labatut or assigns.

Lot at Rear of store:

A certain tract or lot of land, with all the buildings and improvements thereon, situated in the City of New Roads, in the Parish of Pointe Coupee, State of Louisiana, and containing one square arpent; bounded on one side by a certain street or thoroughfare known now or formerly as Ivy Street; on the West by lands of Joseph Richey, or assigns, and the right of way of a certain side track of the Texas & Pacific railway Company known as the “Y”, on the North by lands belonging formerly to Alexandra & Barksdale, now to Labatut, being the property described “1.” Hereinabove; and on the East by Poydras Street.

LESS AND EXCEPT lots sold off the above described property. See sale by John Laurans, et ux, filed at conveyance book “B” entry 1598, and lot 20 feet wide3 by Depth to spur line.
