A native of LaBarre, La. and resident of Lakeland, La., passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 9:09 am at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, La. He was the former owner of Aamp;B Electronics, where he sold and serviced televisions and was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dianne Murray Crochet; son, Michael Crochet of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; step son, Joseph Langlois (Addie) of Ventress and special nephew John Jarreau, Jr.; sister, Marie Crochet Swindler of Baton Rouge; brother, Welton Crochet of Lakeland; sistersin- law, Audrey Chenevert Crochet of Erwinville, Joyce Pickering Crochet Cowart of Zachary. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Lena LeBlanc Crochet; brothers, Lavoide (Buddy) Crochet, Roger Joseph Crochet; sisters, Pearl Crochet Arnold, Shirley Crochet Jackson, Ida Mae Crochet Hall and Lillian Crochet Rosar; sister-inlaw, Joan Ruiz Crochet; brothers-in-law, Henry J. Arnold, Creyton Hall, Vincent Rosar and Claude Swindler. A visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall in Lakeland on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 8 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the church at 10 a.m., the entombment will be in False River Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Michael Crochet, Joe Langlois, John Jarreau, Jr., Robert Crochet, James Crochet and Jesse Knapp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.D. and Aline Garrett; siblings, Danny Garrett, Terry Garrett, and Bonnie Robillard. A celebration of Greg’s life will be held at Niland’s Funeral Home in New Roads (210 West End Drive, New Roads, LA 70760) on Saturday, May 18, 2024, with visitation from 11:00am until 2:00 p.m. and Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Special thanks to the entire staff of LaCour House and Pointe Coupee Hospice for the loving care and attention they provided Greg during his final years. mother, Ida Mae Pinsonat; sister, Tina Langlois. We would like to thank numerous friends and family members who brought food and came to see her through this process. Also, a very big thank you to Pointe Coupee Hospice, especially mom’s nurse Alexis Threeton Whatley and her aides, Saiesha Stevens and Tytiana Edmonds. They were all so good with her and extremely caring, loving and made each day bearable.
