“I fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7” Augustine “Tot” Davis 88, of New Roads, Louisiana, died peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on November 19, 2022. Tot and Lucy as she was affectionally called by all was a loving mother, wife, mother- in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She raised her four loving children and five bonus children. She was gifted with housekeeping, laundry, cooking (best caramel cake), and loving everyone that came around.
We will forever cherish her beautiful life here on earth.Those proceeding her death are her parents Ernest Louis Sr. and Mary Jarreau Louis, her loving husband Landry Davis Sr. her loving children Shirley T. Louis, Landry Davis Jr., Anthony R. Davis including her six siblings and other family members. Surviving daughter and care giver Charlotte M. Davis. Her bonus children Lori L. Averill, Mary Gay L. Phillips, Lisa L. Cantrell, Lydia L. Parnell, and Marty Lemoine. Bonus daughterin- law Rosa Lee Maloid. Grandchildren Shynette Davis (Oscar Jr.), Lance Toussaint (Tara), Jeremy Louis Sr. (Toya), Letonia Louis, Nathan Toussaint (Kayla), Farren Maloid, Alice Toussaint, and Travis Toussaint. Great grandkids Toddrick Louis, Nicholas Louis, Devonte Gremillion, Tariq Davis, Tylando Louis, Christopher Louis, Jeremy Louis Jr., Jayden Louis, Kristen Robertson. Great great grandchildren Brilynn Davis, Khalie Key, Peyton Givens, Chase Toussaint, and Addison Toussaint.

Arrangements are as follows, Thursday, December 1st viewing at Verrette’s Funeral Home, New Roads, LA from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 2nd viewing at St. Augustine Catholic Church, New Roads, LA from 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. rosary to follow with the services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment following at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cementary. May she rest in peace.
