It is with great sadness that the family of Wanda Henry announces her passing, on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the age of 85. She was retired from Pointe Coupee Parish Assessor’s Office where she served as Chief Deputy Assessor. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Donna Henry Butler (Ed), two sons and daughters-in-law Michael 'Ting' Henry (Shelly) and Stephen Henry (Cindy); granddaughter Michelle Henry Doucet (Jonah); grandsons Timothy Henry (Jennifer), Dane Butler, Micah Butler, and Eli Henry; five great grandchildren Elyse Bellelo, Rhett Henry, Charlotte Faye Henry, Andre Doucet and Eva Fay Butler; brother Leon Jarreau (Carolyn), and sister Connie Benton. Wanda was predeceased by her husband Anthony Douglas “Doug” Henry, her parents Henry Joseph and Ina Andre Jarreau, and brother Peter Lance Jarreau. A visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall in Lakeland from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial was held in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Entombment followed at Chenal Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Timothy Henry, Micah Butler, Eli Henry, Jonah Doucet, Micky Bourgoyne, and Nathan LeBlanc. Honorary Pallbearers were Dane Butler, Rhett Henry, and Andre Doucet.
