James, Jim “Jimbo” Sears

Posted
James, Jim “Jimbo” Sears born October 21, 1961 in Anderson, IN has passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026 with the love of his life at his side. He has been a resident of Ventress, LA for over 3 decades where he resided with wife Jodie. To know him was to love him, especially all the wonderful years before life started to take its toll. He spent many years working as an equipment operator at Alma Plantation. He cherished his wife, stood by his stepdaughter, Melissa and absolutely adored his granddaughter, Chey, the real apple of his eye. We went on many trips and seen many things. He taught us how to operate machinery, drive a stick, and raise livestock. He loved his music, drinking his cool pops with his friends, cruising the river, the woods and making his blocks around the park. He was a simple man with a big heart. He was silly, witty and could always lighten the mood, even on his last days. May he be at peace somewhere fancy like Applebees, rocking his bandana headband and his blue jean short with the boots.

To follow his wishes we will be doing a cremation with no form of services. Please celebrate his life by drinking a cool pop for him down at Jim’s Place.
