Leona Mae Jarreau, a resident of Lakeland, passed away on January 14, 2026 at the age of 87. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Choir, the Ladies Altar Society, and served several terms as Justice of the Peace. She was a loving mother, sister and friend and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Jarreau and daughter, Cindy Jarreau Adams (Dana); grandchildren, Ashley Jarreau, Lil Mark Williams, Megan Adams, Nick Massey and Brooke Coureville; great grandchildren, Christian Stevens and Robin Coureville; siblings, Lester, Jane Iris, John, Steve, Mardine, Murphette, Clothilde, Julia; and daughter-in-law, Mary Jarreau. She is preceded in death by her son, Mark “Keechoo” Jarreau; two husbands, Shelton Jarreau and Rocky Beauregard; parents, Murphy and Mary Jarreau; and siblings, Murphy Jr., Pee-wee and Noel. Pallbearers will be Casey Jarreau, Lil Mark Williams, Chris Altazan, Christian Stevens, Scott Francis, and Cliff Ortis. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Jarreau, John Jarreau, and Lester "Moon" Jarreau. Visiting will be held Monday, January 19, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland from 9 AM until the mass of Christian burial at 11 AM. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Casey Jarreau, Lil Mark Williams, Chris Altazan, Christian Stevens, Scott Francis, and Cliff Ortis. Honorary pallbearers are Steve, John, and Lester Jarreau.
