Joseph Robillard, affectionately known as “Papa Joe,” peacefully passed away on February 12, 2026. He was born on February 5, 1936, in Batchelor, LA, to Lorena and Joseph Robillard. He was one of several siblings and is survived by six loving brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and other beloved family members.

Papa Joe was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose steady presence and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In his early years, he enjoyed golfing, riding his motorcycle, baseball and bowling—pastimes that reflected both his adventurous spirit and his love of community.

He graduated from New Roads High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy, receiving an honorable discharge. Following his military service, he relocated to New York, where he built a career with General Motors and created a beautiful life for his family through hard work and dedication.

After retirement, he returned to Louisiana, where he spent his later years surrounded by the roots and memories that shaped him.

Joseph’s legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering commitment to family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
