Loretta Guidroz Segura, 89, passed away on April 27, 2026. Born on May 24, 1936, she was a proud graduate of Rougon High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During her married years, Loretta lived and worked in Houma, Louisiana, before returning to Rougon to retire in the home where she was born. She cherished the familiar rhythms of her community and the comfort of her family’s land. Loretta is survived by her children Clem (Corinne), Mark, John (Brenda), and Anne (Al) Manint; her grandchildren Derrick, Craig, Caroline, Amye, Steven, and Catherine; and several great‑grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Amelia Guidroz, her brothers, Cecil and Clement, and her grandchild, Taylor. She enjoyed Sunday rides, quilting and sewing, LSU Tiger baseball, and Saints football. Loretta was funny, hard‑headed, and deeply loved. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff of Holly Court Assisted Living & Memory Care and Hospice Specialists of Louisiana for their care and comfort during the last years of her life. A visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9:30 am until religious services at 11 am. Services will be conducted by Deacon Pat Witty. The entombment will follow in Chenal Mausoleum.
