Pauline Claire Dugas Torres passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the age of 74 in Katy, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family. Pauline was born on July 3, 1949 in New Roads, Louisiana. She grew up in Oscar, La. and resided in Erwinville, La. and then Blanks, La. She moved to Katy, Texas in 2022. Pauline loved to cook and was known for her holiday feasts that she prepared. She enjoyed working in her beautiful yard and tending to her numerous flower beds. Pauline also loved watching movies. One of her favorite activities was to deer hunt. She was eager each season to climb in her stand and make a hunt. Pauline had a big heart and was very generous. She was often outspoken and had a strong outgoing personality. Pauline had the ability to make others laugh with her great sense of humor and her quick wittedness. She had a way of making those around her feel cared for and loved. She was a mom to everyone. Her greatest treasure in life was spending time with her family. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, John Wayne Torres and by her parents, Eno Joseph Dugas and Delta Bonaventure Dugas. She is survived by two sons, Delano Cline (Rhonda) of Port Allen, La. and Tyson Cline (Rozlyn) of Katy, Tx.; her grandchildren, Trace Cline, Anya Andre-Jarreau, Caleb Wurtz and Maggie Wurtz; her great granddaughter Skylar Steib; sister Juanita Earnhart (Mike) of Baton Rouge, La.; brother James Dugas (Sandra) of New Roads, La.; as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A memorial service and celebration of Pauline’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lakeland, Louisiana.
