A native of Pointe Coupee and resident of Glynn, La., she passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 7:30 am at her daughters home in Bueche, LA., at the age of 99, one day shy of her 100th birthday. She was retired from the Louisiana Tourist Commission. She is survived by her daughter, Benny Earlene Shows Dupre (Melody Roig); sons, Jess W. Shows, Jr. (Susan Clements Shows), Jasper (Joe) Shows (Susan Gauthier Shows); sister, Rita Ivey; brother, Roy LeJeune; 6 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jess W. Shows, Sr.; parents, Joseph Ovide LeJeune and Evelina Andre LeJeune; grandchildren, Tad Wayne Shows, Scott Christopher Shows, Adam Brooks Shows, Matthew Elton Shows; 2 sisters and five brothers. A visitation was held at Fordoche Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until religious service at 11:00 a.m. The services was conducted by Rev. Toby Delahoussaye. Interment followed in Cottonwood Cemetery in Lottie, La. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
