Thomas William Montgomery III (Tommy) was called to check cattle in heaven with our Lord and Savior on 2-14-26.
Tommy was born in Thibodeaux, LA March 5, 1940, and then a lifelong resident of Lottie, LA. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Lillian Legier Montgomery, Son Thomas William Montgomery IV (Billy), Daughter in Law Michelle Herring Montgomery, Grandson Thomas William Montgomery V (Will) (Emma Klos, Finance), Half Brother Monty George Montgomery.
Preceded in death by Thomas William Montgomery Jr (Father), Sybil Chauvin Montgomery (Mother).
He held many board seats over the years such as:
Original board member of Peoples Bank (Synergy Bank), Cattlemans Association, FHA, ASCS, Farm Bureau, First South, Waterboard Dist. #2.
Tommy was a lifelong cattleman and had a love for animals. He enjoyed anything that had to do with cattle or his family. His proudest achievement in life, his grandson Will. He loved to make his weekly rounds to visit with neighbors with a toot of the horn and conversation ending with ANYHOW…. He will be greatly missed but we know he’s enjoying the stirrup high lush green grass with his fat healthy cows.
A visitation will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Livonia on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. The interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
